Go with God

You cannot stay where you are and go with God.

Born with good looks, adopted by Pharaoh’s daughter, living in a palace, studying under the greatest secular Egyptian education, and surrounded by enormous wealth, Moses chose to shun all of it and to follow God's plan and God's people.

He's not alone in this endeavor. In fact, every account of victory in the Scriptures is of a person who chose to go with God.

  • Noah changed his life to build an ark.

  • Abraham left his family to father a nation in Canaan.

  • Rahab rebelled against a king to protect God’s spies.

  • Ruth left Moab and trusted in Naomi’s God.

  • David left shepherding.

  • Amos left his orchard.

  • Jonah went to the capitol of Assyria.

  • Esther risked her life.

  • The disciples abandoned their careers.

  • Paul changed his way of life.

But the clearest example of abandoning one's home for the sake of obeying God was the Lord Jesus Christ Himself Who left Heaven to walk this earth and live and die and live again for our own sakes. It's because of His sacrifice that we can find the power to obey His command to go with God:

And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me. For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: but whosoever will lose his life for my sake, the same shall save it. Luke 9:23-24

Step out in faith in Scripture's promises and go with God!
